Can anyone give me details on the original intent of a captive bedroom ( a bedroom in which you must go through another room to gain access instead of a hallway). Was the original intent a sitting room, a nursery, library or was the original intent an inconveneint bedroom? I can’t imagine that but, who knows? Why would a builder or architect build or design something like this? If you have an answer, what is your source, please?
