Right now my bedroom walls are white. It’s very boring. The bedroom itself is not real big and the carpet is cream. I have a maroon bedspread that I use in winter, and a cream one in the summer. Other than that, there is no other color to worry about matching. I want something soothing and calm, yet interesting to look at. The doors (including closest) and door frames will stay white. It’s an open canvas!
I forgot to mention this…I am going for minimal cost…basically a couple of gallons of paint and that’s it. So, no new bedspreads or other accessories. Also, right now I have semi-sheer curtains up that are a charcoal brown. Those can be switched with some cream ones I have in another room if necessary…whichever matches my new color.

i am getting alot of answers that are incorporating golds and reds…when i invision my room i tend to see it darker, and i was originally thinking dark purples…. i was just wandering what anyone thought of those colors. and if i got purple satin sheets what i would use for a cover over that, comforter,duvet?
