I have them under the bed, all over the wall corners. What’s the best way to minimize it?

I rent, and my bedroom is a large attic conversion. It’s very energy inefficient—I can feel heat loss through the ceiling even on a cool summer night. How can I make it more energy efficient without making structural changes that will require my landlord’s cooperation? I plan to put weatherstrip around the windows and I’m considering caulking the joists, but the only other thing I can think of is tacking blankets up on the walls and ceiling—a fire hazard, and not very elegant.

I plan on restaining my set of bedroom furniture. I was told to strip the old finish first with chemical stripper and then finely sand the surfaces with a smooth sandpaper.

I’ve done plenty of sanding, but havent ever used chemical stripper. What tips should i know? The legs of my night stand have some detailing, but not too much overall. What is the best kind of chemical stripper? Do i need any specialty tools to help it remove the stain quicker, easier, more evenly?

Casey B asked:

I live in a 1 bed room apt with my two kids. I want to give them the bedroom and “convert” the 10×10 dining room into a bed room for us. Of course I can not build real walls, as it is a rental. I need to make two “walls” to close it off. The only idea that I have come up with is to buy wardrobes and use them as walls. Any idea’s would be great! Thanks for your help!!!
